D.J. Hall
DJ Hall is a photo-realist painter who lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Inspired by early childhood memories of sunny Southern California, Hall typically depicts poolside scenes that emphasize an idyllic, carefree lifestyle. Her vivid paintings explore themes of joy, loss, grief, and longing.
She received her BFA from the University of Southern California in 1973. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums like The New Orleans Museum of Art, Koplin Del Rio Gallery, the Palm Springs Art Museum, O.K. Harris Works of Art, Tortue Gallery, Sullivan Goss Gallery, the Long Beach Museum of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Jenkins Johnson Gallery, and the Riverside Art Museum.
