Jeff Brouws
Jeff Brouws is a San Francisco-born photographer living and working in New York. He began taking photos at the age of 13 when he roamed the railroad and industrial corridors of the South Bay Peninsula. Since then, Brouws has compiled a visual survey of America's evolving rural, urban and suburban cultural landscapes.
His work has been featured in many galleries and museums like Robert Mann Gallery, Gallery Seomi, Robert Koch Gallery, Museum Ludwig, the Nevada Museum of Art, the Heckscher Museum, and Galerie Toni Tapies. Brouws is the author of seven books, including his most recent, Approaching Nowhere, published by W. W. Norton. His photographs can be found in major private and public collections including the Whitney Museum of Art, San Francisco Museum of Art, Harvard's Fogg Museum, Princeton University Art Museum, and the Henry Art Museum.
