Joe Fay
Joe Fay is a multimedia artist who lives and works in Livingston, Montana. He pulls wet paint with brushes and nails to create the spindly, biomorphic landscapes around unusual portrait subjects, from forest critters to folklore characters. Fay’s work is deeply influenced by primitive art, abstract expressionism, simple forms, and current events.
Fay has exhibited at galleries and exhibitions like the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Roy Boyd Gallery, Richard Green Gallery, 188 ART, the Fresno Art Museum, the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco, Galerie Bhak Young Duk. His work is included in numerous public collections like the Madison Art Center, Mayo Clinic, the Santa Fe Museum of Art and the NTT of Japan.
