Joy Taylor

Joy Taylor is a painter who lives and works in Red Hook, New York. Defying traditional still life paintings, Taylor expresses the exuberance and irrepressibility of nature through luminous colors, sparkling detail, and an alluring formal composition.

Taylor received her BS in Studio Art from Skidmore College in 1975. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums like Gallery Gris, Carrie Haddad Gallery, Imogen Holloway Gallery, Marist College Art Gallery, Foreman Gallery, Bernay Fine Art, the Dorsky Museum, the Islip Art Museum, the Whatcom Museum of History and Art, and Geoffrey Young Gallery.
