Julian Wasser
Julian Wasser was a photographer who lived and worked in Los Angeles, California. He is celebrated for his candid but artfully composed images of Hollywood stars and the Los Angeles art scene during the 60s and 70s. Wasser’s list of subjects includes musicians, writers, artists, and politicians such as Joan Didion, The Beatles, Frank Zappa, Alfred Hitchock, Martin Luther King, Jr., Ed Ruscha, Jack Nicholson, Steve McQueen, and Marilyn Monroe. One of his most notorious works features Marcel Duchamp playing a game of chess with a nude Eve Babitz.
