I have a special affinity for existentialism, surreal abstraction, and absurdity. I like these things combined with grit and raw authenticity. In visual art, I work in various media, i.e.: drawing, watercolors, oils, mixed media collage, installation, and book arts, and I rely on introspection instead of playing by any rules. I believe in creating singular artworks based on spontaneous inspiration. Each and every project requires an exclusive approach that comes about through visceral narratives. I keep a disciplinary drawing practice that's usually driven by emotional vulnerable thoughts and ideas that wind up as paintings, and almost everything I make is based on my gut intuition. I tend to bring this about through stream-of-consciousness writings and reading things that interest me: philosophy, psychology, or experimenting on themes that develop into distinct series I obsessively explore for years. I may not develop each painting in a series chronologically, but each piece finds their meaning and place over a long period of time.
